How DeVry’s transfer scholarship can help you save on tuition

For certificate and associate degree students:

Minimum of 1 transferable semester credit hour

To qualify, transfer students must:

Be a new or readmit student
Be enrolled in a DeVry undergraduate certificate or associate program
Have a transfer credit of C or better
Maintain a 2.5 CGPA or better

Enrollment status

To be eligible for the Future-Ready Transfer Scholarship, you must remain enrolled in at least 9 credit hours per semester up to the last remaining 6 credit hours for a certificate or associate degree program and 12 credit hours for a bachelor’s degree program. Falling below 9 credit hours more than once will make the student ineligible for future scholarship funding.

Cumulative grade point average (CGPA) and continued eligibility

New students must meet our standard admissions requirements. Readmit students must be in good academic standing and have a CGPA of 2.5 or higher to be eligible. Qualifying transfer credits must be a C or better with transferable college-level courses and may include military, professional, or exam credit, as well as credit from other higher education institutions.

To remain eligible, you must maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.5 or higher. Your CGPA will be reviewed every semester before you are awarded the scholarship for the remaining 6 credit hours for associate programs, or the remaining 12 credit hours for bachelor’s degree programs. If your CGPA falls below 2.5, the remaining scholarship funds will not be awarded.

Readmit students

Readmit students must have credit from an outside educational institution. Previously earned credit at DeVry will not be included in the evaluation for scholarship purposes.

If you are readmitted to DeVry, you may be eligible for the Future-Ready Transfer Scholarship if you’re in good academic standing and have a DeVry CGPA of 2.5 or higher at the time of admission.

These eligibility requirements are in addition to the other initial eligibility criteria, including qualifying transfer credit earned at an outside institution.

Scholarship eligibility, terms, and restrictions

Continuing students are not eligible.
Students who have earned a bachelor’s degree are not eligible.
International students with an F-1 visa are not eligible.
If a student transfers to a program that does not qualify for this scholarship, they will no longer be eligible to receive the remaining fund disbursements.
If a student withdraws from a course(s) covered by the scholarship, the funding for those credit hours will be canceled. The funds will be reinstated if the student re-enrolls in the course(s).
If a scholarship recipient does not begin classes on the intended start term, their scholarship will expire and they may reapply for available offerings at the time of their enrollment.
Scholarship recipients who change to a program at a lower credential level may lose eligibility if the disbursed funds exceed the lifetime benefit cap for the new program
This scholarship cannot be combined with other DeVry special pricing programs, including active-duty military rates, the Opportunity Grant, DeVry’s Business Edge Scholarship, alumni savings, Alumni Advancement Grant, Family Forward Savings, and colleagues or colleague dependents receiving DeVry tuition benefits.

Students may participate in only one DeVry University-based scholarship, grant, or group tuition benefit program at a time. Those who qualify for more than one program will be presumed to accept the program with the highest reduction per session cost, unless the student confirms their desire to participate in a different program in writing prior to starting classes at DeVry. Scholarship and grant terms and eligibility conditions are subject to change.
