LISLE, Ill. – March 16, 2026 – DeVry University, in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, will host HerWorld Atlanta on Monday, March 23, at 5 p.m.
HerWorld is an initiative by DeVry University that helps introduce fifth through eighth grade girls to STEM and careers in technology by building curiosity around tech careers, digital fluency and technology confidence. The event will include hands-on experiences including a drone obstacle course and drone coding workshop, a practical AI application activity, and interactive science labs such as, ”Go Mad for STEM with Ce the Scientist.”
Hosted by DeVry’s Vice President of Strategic Partnerships Scarlett Howery, the event will feature a fireside chat with women in STEM including Ayana Nathan, Head of Healthcare Vertical Market at Siemens Smart Infrastructure; Crystle Ryland, Business Operations Coordinator at Georgia Power; and Dr. La’Quata Sumter, DeVry University professor, children’s author and STEM/STEAM philanthropist.
