New Brunswick Today - DeVry University Appoints New President For North Brunswick Campus

DeVry University on August 24 appointed Steven Nelson as the new president of its North Brunswick campus.

With locations across the country, DeVry is one of the largest for-profit universities in North America, and it is a part of DeVry Education Group, a "global provider of educational services."

Nelson will provide "strategic leadership and support to students, faculty and staff" at the Route 1 campus, and also oversee centers in Cherry Hill and Paramus. DeVry's former president was Chris Grevesen, Ph.D.

The University says Nelson will build strong alliances with key leaders of local businesses, industries, and employers in the area while increasing the community's awareness of DeVry’s degree program offerings.

Nelson has about 15 years of experience in higher education and "will be pivotal as DeVry expands access to education through new modalities of learning and programs of study," saysAnthony Stanziani, group president at DeVry University. “Steve brings a passion for student success."
