The local campus, located at 630 Route 1 in North Brunswick, is marking the first anniversary of the Keller Graduate School of Management while launching the New Jersey Center for Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship.
The Keller program began in January 2010 in both North Brunswick and Paramus. The Master of Business Administration [MBA] program consists of 16 courses for 48 credits: nine core courses of general information; one capstone course that culminates the knowledge areas covered by the core courses; six electives; and a final project, according to Forough Ghahramani, associate dean of the College of Business and Management and the Keller Graduate School.
Of the six electives, four must be put toward a concentration if a student selects a specific concentration. Topics include accounting, finance, electronic commerce management, international business, human resources, public administration, network and communications management, and project management.
Students may attend part time or full time. There are six sessions offered per year, and typically students complete two courses per session, Ghahramani said, so the program usually is completed within a yearand a-half.
She said that students can be DeVry alumni currently working in business who want to change careers or people who want to come back to advance their education.
“The first year has gone really well. Our enrollment is above what we projected. There is a lot of demand for the program,” Ghahramani said. “Right now with the economy the way it is, people are trying to figure out how to keep themselves marketable so they are coming back” to hone their business skills.
